====== Leetor the Maker ====== {{ http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/FR_ART/People/AgnomefromLantan.jpg?300}} Let me introduce to you all: Leetor the Maker. Leetor is a gnome artificer, always figuring out how things work, how you can improve them how to reload them faster. **Were you born in Lockenport, or elsewhere?** Leetor was born in the [[gnome_holdings|Gnome Holdings]] to rich parents. His father was a gnome diplomat and Leetor grew up amongst all the different races in many different places turning him a bit into a jack of all trades. From the elves he learnt the enchantment of magic, from the dwarves he picked up how to fight with a waraxe, from the humans he picked up boundless curiosity and a tendency to know a little bit of everything. From the halflings he learnt a bit of thievery. But above all, Leetor likes figuring out how things work. **Do you have a big family? Do you stay in touch with them?** Theoretically yes, but having never really stayed in the gnome lands, he isn't very close to any but his dad. His mother died in an ambush when he was young which partly inspired his unusual combination of tinkering with being able to defend himself and his companions. His father has retired in Lockenport, is still a powerful man politically, and dotes on his only son. **What are your religious beliefs?** Leetor doesn't hold much faith in these religious bits. He has been studying the working of faith from an engineering perspective and has somehow reverse engineered the process by which gods are created from faith. Currently he is not sure, but he think he may have created a new deity. He has no idea what the deity is called, but heard something that went "OyVey" when it happened, so that is the working name for the deity project. **Do you have any famous ancestors?** Leetor's father, [[orryn_silvertongue|Orryn Silvertounge]], is very famous in very small circles. His influence over the last 40 years (Leetor was a late child) has helped form Lockenport into the multi-racial cosmopolitan place it now is. **What sort of education or training have you had?** Leetor's stern and demanding tutor has been his insatiable curiosity. His main line of distraction has been arcana, but he reads, plays and investigates wildly. The magic fraternity unfortunately looks down upon his warlike abilities with an axe and calls him a hacker. **Do you have a trade (other than "adventuring")?** Leetor makes things. His recent coming of age gift from his father was a very special bag of holding. Inside it is fitted with a tiny portable workshop that allows leetor to make quite sophisticated things on the run. He has been experimenting with this neat metal contraption he calls a "slinky". There isn't any place in the bag of holding for much more than is in there, except maybe a nice lunch. **Do you have many enemies?** Stupid people. It is probably because of this that he couldn't follow in his dad's illustrious footsteps. **What style of clothes do you favour?** Leetor is firstly practical. Everything has to be optimised. Given that he has an eye for color and pattern and tends to decorate his possessions and clothing with beautiful swirling patterns. That, he has found, confuses the eye and allows him to do his vanishing trick. **Have you ever killed someone?** Leetor for a while grew up amongst a fierce tribe of dwarves. He went on supervised active guarding parties once or twice where he had to prove his proficiency with the war axe before he was allowed to carry one. So while not a practiced killer, he has a few mountain nasties under his belt. **What is your opinion of the Lockenport authorities?** Very high. Leetor understands the difficult dynamics of a place like this and thinks they have done admirably. If anyone cared to ask him (and his dad sometimes does) he has a whole list of things that could be done better and more optimised. He can't see himself going into politics, there are too many stupid people. ===== Leetor's Journal =====
