This is a short guide to the melting pot of creatures that live, or pass through [[lockenport|Lockenport]].







===== Eladrin =====
The eladrin are creatures of magic with strong ties to nature. They live in cities in the twilight realm of the Feywild. The cities of the eladrin straddled the boundary between the Feywild and this world, and sometimes make appearances in the woodlands and forests. Near Lockenport, eladrin settlements are most often encountered in the [[great_forest|Great Forest]] which lies between the [[lezhar_marshlands|Lezhar Marshlands]] and the [[torgen_mountains|Torgen Mountains]] on the mainland.

Although eladrin rarely settle outside of their native Feywild, they frequently travel the world, and are usually recognised as eladrin in all but the most remote places. Some eladrin server as ambassadors to the fey courts, while others explore the world in search of arcane lore, or on personal quests.

In [[lockenport|Lockenport City]], the eladrin [[caelynna_elismay|Caelynna Elismay]] currently holds the powerful position of Chancellor of [[lockenport_university|Lockenport University]].

Leetor was born in the Gnome Holdings to rich parents. His father was a gnome diplomat and Leetor grew up amongst all the different races in many different places turning him a bit into a jack of all trades.\\
An immigrant from the Gnome Holdings, Orryn and his family moved to Lockenport a little more than forty years ago. Orryn traveled widely, and he still has good contacts in the elven and dwarven lands. \\

Some weeks by boat to the east is the continent where the dwarven clans and the mighty minotaur kingdoms have clashed since time immemorial.

I am a Razorclaw Shifter, trained as a druid before arriving in Lockenport. Born and raised in the Great Forests on the mainland, in the west. My clan were worshippers of Melora, however I have not had much exposure to the divine power of the gods.  \\

===== Warforged =====

Warforged originated on the same eastern continent as the minotaurs and the dwarves, and the first of their kind were created by the dwarves some seventy-five years ago. The majority of the warforged alive today were made during a short period between 75 and 70 years ago. These warforged are sometimes called "true" warforged to differentiate them from the small number of other warforged who have been create since then. (One example of a more recent creation is Saugren [[oltarn_family|Oltarn]]'s servant Detritus.)

Only recently -- a bit more than two years ago -- was the first of the "true" warforged granted their freedom by their dwarven creators, thanks to the role they played during the seige of Uruz. The vast majority of "true" warforged are still pressed into battle against the minotaurs by the dwarves.

Known "true" warforged include [[clunk|Clunk]] (#4671-314), Sergeant (#4671-023) -- the warforged who broke the siege of Uruz -- and Captain (#4671-038), who was last seen working in the [[stitch|Stitch]] mines, for a fire genasi named Carr Ristradis. As Carr's servant, Captain had been given the name "Block". Upon Ristradis's death, Clunk told Captain that he was free.
