===== Mission Briefing =====

Shortly before the attack on the Citadel of the Dead, a team of Irregulars encountered a groups of dark elves -- drow -- during a mission into Lockenport's infamous Pit. The drow party, apparently representatives of one Matriarch Yi'laskar, provided those Irregulars with a set of documents detailing Vedroth's strengths and plans.

The information provided by the drow proved both accurate and advantageous during the offensive against the lich-lord. However, Lockenport's Congress of Guild Leaders is concerned about the motives of the subterranean-dwelling elves. The Congress has chartered a mission to travel into the regions deep within the Pit, to search for any information about Matriarch Yi'laskar and the drow.

The primary goal of the mission is to assess the level of risk to Lockenport posed by the inhabitants of the underdark. A secondary goal is to map out the uncharted regions below the Pit for the benefit of any future missions into the darkness.
